This type of asset class is characterised by investing in whole indices to capture the performance of a market. For example, with eToro you can invest in ETFs that invest in the entire S&P500, European FTSE or in the public and private debt of the world’s major countries.

They are ideal for risk averse profiles and those who are looking for long term investments, personally indexed products are a type of investment that I like very much. As with equities, these ETFs are also fractionalised (see above for more information). They have a total of 257 ETFs in which you can invest.

Cryptocurrencies
A differentiating factor of eToro is that you can trade cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple or Dash (a total of 30 are available). This is something that few other online brokers offer, and it can be a decisive factor if you are interested in this sector.
